The spokesperson for the NC in the Canary Islands Parliament, Luis Campos, has described the President of the Government, Fernando Clavijo, as “completely disconnected” from the reality of the Canaries and has condemned the CC’s agreements with Vox.
He made these remarks on Tuesday while speaking to the media following the address by the regional leader during the initial day of the debate on the state of Canarian nationality.
In this context, he pointed out that Clavijo approached the debate “burdened by a significant weight,” namely “forming an alliance with the far-right, seeking offers wherever he requires to seize and retain power.”
Campos specifically highlighted that CC claimed during the election campaign that it only had one red line, which was Vox. “And he didn’t take long – he continued – to first form an agreement in Teguise and then in Arona,” and added that while he hopes it does not come to fruition, “we all know” he has a similar agreement established in Granadilla de Abona.
