An 85-year-old woman required assistance on Saturday following a fire that broke out in the kitchen of a residence on Monsignor M. Hernández Jorge Street in the municipality of Güímar (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2.
The incident took place at approximately 2:35 p.m., when the 1-1-2 control room received an alert about the kitchen fire, prompting CECOES to promptly mobilise the necessary emergency resources to address the situation.
Upon arrival, firefighters from the Consortium of Tenerife were tasked with extinguishing the fire and ventilating the property. Additionally, SUC personnel attended to the sole affected individual in this incident and arranged for her transfer to the Ntra. Mrs. of Candelaria University Hospital.
The woman sustained moderate burns to her hair and face.
Subsequently, police services assisted with the resources and carried out the necessary proceedings.
