An 85-year-old woman required assistance this Saturday following a kitchen fire at a residence on Monsignor M. Hernández Jorge Street in the municipality of Güímar (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2.
The incident took place around 2:35 PM, when the 1-1-2 control room received a notification regarding a fire in a kitchen, prompting CECOES to promptly activate the necessary emergency resources to respond to the situation.
Upon arrival, firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium took charge of extinguishing the flames and ventilating the premises. Meanwhile, SUC staff treated the woman, the only individual affected in this incident, and facilitated her transfer to the Ntra. Mrs. of Candelaria University Hospital.
The woman sustained moderate burns to her hair and face.
Subsequently, police services assisted the emergency responders and initiated the necessary investigations.
