The president of CEOE-Harife, Pedro Alfonso, condemned on Tuesday the incineration of cranes that were being utilised in the construction of the tourist development known as ‘cradle of the soul’ near the port of Adeje.
In a statement released by the organisation, this act of vandalism elicited his “perplexity” and “complete disgust,” which he described as “unfortunate,” asserting that private property “should take precedence over any act.”
He further remarked that this incident “delegitimises” any claims that opposing groups may have regarding the project, as this “method” clearly portrays them as individuals who are seeking more disruption rather than constructive solutions.
