Scooter Collision Injures Tram Passenger in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

A 72-year-old woman has sustained moderate injuries after being struck by a scooter while alighting from the tram in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, reported Canary 1-2.

The incident occurred on Friday evening, on Américo López Méndez Street in the capital of Tenerife, when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received a call reporting that a woman required medical assistance following a collision with a scooter as she got off the tram.

Personnel from the Canarip Emergency Service (SUC) attended to the injured woman, who, at the outset of their assistance, was found to have moderate trauma to her upper limb. She was then taken to SUC Candelaria in a basic life support ambulance.

The Local Police initiated the necessary procedures.
