The local authority of La Laguna has introduced a new sampling extraction point in the primary healthcare area of Health Laguna-University situated in Trinity. This initiative, developed in partnership with the Primary Care Management of Tenerife, aims to enhance access to health services for over 21,000 residents affiliated with this centre.
The new facility will facilitate routine analytical procedures, tests for expectant mothers, referrals from specialised care, and urgent sampling needs.
It is structured to accommodate both paediatric and adult patients and features five extraction stations, capable of serving up to 60 patients daily, thereby streamlining user flow and minimising waiting times.
Previously, residents in this area were required to travel to the La Laguna-Mercedes health centre for such tests. The establishment of this new point significantly improves the convenience and accessibility of the service.
The Primary Care Management of Tenerife has emphasised that this initiative is part of their strategy to optimise healthcare resources and continuously enhance population care. In addition, collaboration with the City Council of La Laguna has ensured the effective implementation of this new health resource.
Individuals wishing to utilise this service can find further details regarding schedules and the process for prior appointments at the Laguna-Universidad Health Centre or through the official channels of the City Council of La Laguna.
