On Sunday, a Civil Guard officer and a young man suffered from smoke inhalation following a fire in a residence located in the El Montillo neighbourhood, within the municipality of El Sauzal, Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre 112.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of smoke emanating from a house. Upon their arrival, the Civil Guard entered the premises and evacuated an 18-year-old male who was inside.
Both individuals were affected by smoke inhalation and received assistance from personnel at the Canarian Emergency Department before being transported by ambulance to the Tacoronte health centre. Firefighters also undertook ventilation of the property and extinguished the flames found in the kitchen area.
The Local Police supported the emergency teams, and the Civil Guard completed the necessary formalities related to the incident.
