The new initiatives, enhancements to existing facilities and the conception of ambitious projects mark the strategy of the Cabildo de Tenerife for the medium-term future concerning water management, including both drinking water and irrigation on the island. This planning rationalises the investment of 3.8 million euros with the objective of addressing drought conditions and improving hydraulic infrastructure. The allocation will enable the Insular Water Council of Tenerife (CIATF) to commence multiple projects (1.7 million euros), enhance those currently underway (1.4 million euros) and draft new proposals (634,000 euros).
