The guidelines governing the call for financial assistance for housing rehabilitation from Icavi (Canarian Housing Institute) are now available for consultation on the digital platform of the City of La Guancha (Laguancha.es).
In accordance with the relevant technical and social assessments, the total funding allocated to beneficiaries stands at €157,731.43.
The aim of this call is to address depopulation in rural areas, thereby facilitating the adaptation of homes to meet minimum habitability standards. In this regard, the works eligible for support include actions related to energy efficiency, enhancements of structural components, adjustments for individuals with functional diversity, internal electrical systems, plumbing and sanitation improvements, upgrades to roofs, and renovations of wet areas (bathrooms, kitchens), among others.
The properties eligible for assistance must be the principal and permanent residences and must be at least 20 years old. Furthermore, beneficiaries must be homeowners, registered in the municipality, effectively residing in the locality, and possess Spanish nationality.
Verónica Domínguez, Councillor for Housing in La Guancha, emphasises, “These grants are designed not only for the most vulnerable groups but for the entire community. The sole distinction is that for households in vulnerable situations, the aid can cover 100% of the implemented work, while for others, it covers only 50%.”
Applications can be submitted until March 18 at the General Registry of La Guancha (Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 2 pm) or via the electronic platform at Laguchancha.es.
