A 70-year-old cyclist was evacuated by a medical helicopter of the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) this Thursday following a collision with a pedestrian on the TF-21 road, near Cañadas del Teide, as reported by 1-1-2 Canary Islands.
The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m., when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands government received a report regarding a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian, indicating that the cyclist required medical assistance.
The man exhibited moderate trauma at the initial point of assistance, and the SUC helicopter team immobilised the injured individual before transferring him to the helisurface of the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.
The Civil Guard halted traffic on the road to allow the medicalised SUC helicopter, which had been summoned, to land safely.
Local Police and Firefighters assisted with the emergency services.
