Santa Cruz de Tenerife 9 Feb. (Europa Press) –
Following the discovery of two Cayucos located 60 miles south of La Restinga (El Hierro) this Sunday, Maritime Rescue is currently engaged in the operation to rescue another vessel, this time situated 23 miles south of Tenerife. This was spotted by the Sasemar 102 aircraft on its return flight, after intervening during the previous operations.
Although the state agency has not yet provided further information to Europa Press regarding the origin and the total number of individuals on board this Cayuco, it is confirmed that both the Salvamar Alphatz and the Helimer 204 helicopter are en route to assist.
The rescue vessel is expected to arrive at the location of the Cayuco after 6 pm this Sunday.
