The village of Valle de Guerra has unveiled a refreshed mural dedicated to the free, a notable depiction of popular theatre that honours the battle of Lepanto. A novel design by Juan Cairós, executed by graphic artist Pedro Cedrés, has been on display since Wednesday in the Plaza de Valle de Guerra. This new artwork replaces an earlier piece from 2014, created by Eloy Fernández, which was also based on a design by Cairós but described as “much simpler and more metaphorical,” according to the press release from the City Council of La Laguna.
