The village of Valle de Guerra has unveiled a renewed mural honouring the free, a renowned depiction of folk theatre that commemorates the Battle of Lepanto. Since Wednesday, a fresh design by Juan Cairós, executed by the graphic artist Pedro Cedrés, adorns the Plaza de Valle de Guerra, replacing an earlier artwork from 2014 by Eloy Fernández, which was based on a design that was “far more straightforward and symbolic,” as stated by the La Laguna City Council in a public announcement.
