This Sunday at 5:00 p.m., the Carnival stage of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2025 will be showcasing the Choreographic Group Festival at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairground, where over 1,000 dancers will display a variety of choreographies alongside remarkable costumes specifically created for this occasion.

This year’s event includes contributions from the company La Vica, Crew of Dreams, Wild Dance, Crazy Dancer, Ibaute, Andreína Acosta Sports Club, Odali, Onys dance school, and Star Dance.

Additionally, the festival will feature Yufunk, Moana, LS Tribe, V Dance, Loli Pérez, Nameless Project, Arona Cultural Board, Orbidal Mambo, and Ballet Dance, as highlighted by the City Council of Santa Cruz in an official announcement.

With participation from over 1,000 dancers

More than 1,000 performers will take centre stage in this competition, where group members will present the choreographies they have meticulously prepared over the past few months, complete with their exceptional costumes designed for this Carnival edition.

At the conclusion of the festival, the winners for the best disguise and best interpretation will be announced, including the second and third prizes, as well as the first prize.

The judging panel for the presentations will consist of stylist María del Mar Martorell Mensugo; fashion designer Javier Aguilar Afonso from Ananas Wear; and Cristo Rodríguez Torres, a technician in confection, fashion, and skin.

As for the interpretation category, the panel will include Leila Rodríguez Hernández, a choreographer, dancer, gymnast, dance teacher, and rhythmic gymnastics instructor; Cristofer Fernández Arteaga, an international dancer and choreographer, who is also the organiser of the Tenerife Latin Festival and head of studies at the MM dance school.

Other members include choreographer and modern dance teacher María Vianney Morales González; professional dancer in International Classic Ballet Companies, María Odinokova; and urban dance choreographer and dancer Daniel Jesús García Gómez, who is also a participant in Spain’s Ballroom scene.
