The Island Federation of Carnival Groups in Gran Canaria (Figruc) has put forward for discussion among all associated groups the proposal from the Councillor for Fiestas de Candelaria, Manolo González. He suggests that the regional gathering of Murgas de Canarias, which takes place in the Villa Mariana, should continue with the involvement of the three critical ensembles from Tenerife in the performance section, along with the top prize in the same category from Gran Canaria.
