The Municipal Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will enhance its collection with two new artworks from the Prado Museum: a portrait of María Cristina de Borbón, created by Luis de la Cruz y Ríos, and the San Diego de Alcalá painting from The Canary Islands, by Juan García de Miranda. These pieces, as stated by the Councillor for Culture, Santiago Díaz, will be integrated into the indefinite inventory of this significant cultural venue.
The mayor mentioned that additional planned initiatives will target municipal libraries, including the establishment of a new youth area in TEA, alongside the new Ofra Library and the introduction of Bibliexpress, a mobile library designed to promote literature in neighbourhoods that lack access to cultural resources.
The Book Fair is set to return to García Sanabria from May 1 to 4, where the centre for street sculpture interpretation is located, which will also undergo renovations.
