A highway worker has succumbed to injuries sustained when he was struck on the southern motorway of Tenerife, as stated by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre 112 of the Canary Islands Government.
The incident took place at approximately 8:18 p.m. on Tuesday on the TF-1 road, near Punta La Caleta, heading north, within the municipality of Güímar.
The medical personnel who arrived at the scene determined that the individual had injuries that were incompatible with life and confirmed his passing.
The Civil Guard initiated the relevant proceedings, with support from the officers of the Canarian Police who aided with the deployed resources.
The team from the Road Maintenance Service was tasked with clearing the motorway.
