This is the narrative of Fatima, a mother seeking assistance for her daughter, Cynthia. It seems straightforward, yet is intricately complicated. Their circumstances have compelled them to live in a rented small shop, an old hair salon located on the main road, in the locality of La Matanza de Acentejo. There, their possessions pile up in a home that is constrained in space and plagued by dampness. Both individuals face disabilities, and the 23-year-old daughter undergoes a psychological condition that results in frequent memory lapses, leading her to engage in self-harming behaviours.
