For yet another year, sport alongside Spring Hotels reaffirms its dedication across various domains, specifically focusing on activities for individuals with disabilities. As reported by the Spanish Paralympic Committee, a mere 0.9% of those with disabilities engage in organised sports. This statistic must be improved with the assistance of both public and private entities, given that sports offers substantial benefits for the mental and physical well-being of these individuals, fostering social inclusion, skills development, and enhancing self-esteem. Spring Hotels and Adein contribute their efforts annually to ensure that participant numbers rise and that the relationship between sports and disability remains vibrant.
Spring Hotels has long advocated for sports as a means of promoting integration, commitment, and well-being, with this agreement serving as a prominent illustration. It underscores the belief that sport plays a crucial role in rehabilitation, inclusion, and the enhancement of a demographic that is frequently marginalised due to their conditions. For the second consecutive year, ADIN and the hotel group will join forces to meet their established objectives.
Founded in 2020, this non-profit organisation aims to facilitate sports participation for individuals with disabilities, and it has successfully formed a wheelchair basketball team that competes at the national level. The team is currently striving for promotion to the Super League.

Miguel Villarroya, CEO of Spring Hotels, expressed his pride in renewing the agreement with Adein, highlighting their ongoing support for sports and the significant assistance they provide to individuals with disabilities each week. He added, “We greatly wish to maintain our collaboration in the future and to see this initiative solidified in Tenerife as a benchmark for sports.”
In tandem, Ana Magali Rodríguez, president of the Santa Cruz Adein Tenerife CB Foundation Canarias, emphasised the vital role that large-scale companies like Spring Hotels play in sustaining initiatives like theirs. She remarked, “This is the only path to sustainable growth.” Moreover, she stated that “our goal this year is to gain promotion to the Super League, as we find ourselves in an excellent position.”
Promoting inclusion in sports serves as a constructive way to ensure that we all share equal opportunities and live empowered lives.
