The Autonomous Agency for Festivals and Recreational Activities (OAFAR) in the City of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has once more showcased the immense enthusiasm that the Carnival of the Tenerife capital generates.

This morning, the 4,105 tickets released for the 2025 carnival queen selection gala were sold out in merely one hour and five minutes via the platform Entradascarnavaltenerife.es. The transaction process occurred seamlessly, demonstrating the system’s efficiency and the high demand for this iconic event.

Set to take place on February 26 at the fairgrounds under the artistic direction of Jep Meléndez, the gala will be aired live on Canarian and national television. As is customary, this year’s event has generated significant excitement among the audience, who eagerly secured their tickets for one of the most notable happenings of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Apart from the tickets available for the general public, the full capacity of the fairgrounds includes spaces reserved for the contestants, their sponsors, and designers, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere brimming with colour, music, and emotion.

This year, to prevent user congestion on ticket sales platforms, a staggered sales approach was introduced. Tickets for the adult queen selection gala went on sale the day after those for the competitions, resulting in a smoother distribution without any hitches.

The triumph in ticket sales for the adult queen’s gala complements the success witnessed yesterday, when all tickets for the Comparsas contest, the choreographic festival, and the adult murgas final were claimed. This once again highlights the audience’s passion for the central events of the Carnival, which draws thousands of attendees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife every year.

Box Office Sales for Additional Events

For those interested in attending other Carnival events, such as free shows and competitions, tickets will be sold at the Fairgrounds ticket offices. Sales will commence days before the children’s murgas contest, which kicks off on February 7. The public service hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., continuing until the end of activities during the festive days.

Regarding the elderly gala, admission will be complimentary and will be provided through invitations, which will be distributed on Wednesday, February 19, at a designated location outside the fairgrounds.
