Titsa will implement a special operation from February 1 to 3 to enhance connections with the Mariana Villa de Candelaria, coinciding with the Patroness Day celebrations of the Canary Islands. This initiative includes an increase in the frequency of the usual line, number 122, which links the Santa Cruz de Tenerife interchange with Caletillas and Candelaria, along with the introduction of a new dedicated line, number 522, providing a direct route between the Laguna and Candelaria interchange.
The new service will operate along the North Highway (TF-5), the Link Highway (TF-2), and the Southern Highway (TF-1), offering a quick and direct alternative for users wishing to travel during this period.
On February 1, lines 122 and 522 will run with additional departures based on demand, between 17:45 and 01:00 hours. Furthermore, on February 2, Guagua 122 will be bolstered with extra services from 08:15 to 20:30, whilst line 522 will enjoy additional runs from 08:15 to 15:15. To conclude, on February 3, line 122 will again feature extra departures according to demand from 08:15 to 15:30.
Titsa advises passengers to plan their journeys in advance.
Cultural Activities
Moreover, the municipality of Candelaria will host a variety of cultural, religious, and recreational activities from January 24 to February 15 as part of its main celebrations.
The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, emphasised the significance of these festivities for the cultural identity of the area: «The celebrations of our Virgin of Candelaria present an opportunity to honour our traditions, reinforce community bonds, and pay respect to our patron. This year’s programme includes a diverse array of options for all preferences, ranging from concerts and exhibitions to cultural tours and religious events,» she stated.
