He Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2025 will take place between February 28 and March 9 on the streets and will focus on the mysteries of Africa. A total of 43 kiosks will be dedicated to the sale of carnival merchandise, beverages and food items. These stalls will be found on the streets of Valentín Sanz, Villalba Hervás, La Marina and Castillo, as well as in the Plazas de España and La Candelaria.
The Autonomous Agency for Parties and Recreational Activities (Oafar) of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council conducted the auction for the kiosks on Tuesday, which was held both manually and via a system called ‘Puja to La Llana’.
The starting prices for the stalls, which remain consistent with those from previous editions of the festival, varied from 620.08 euros for the least expensive to 17,584.84 euros for the highest bid, the latter being for kiosks designated for Plazas de España and La Candelaria.
The event concluded with the awarding of 43 kiosks out of the total of 54 available for auction, generating a total of 221,680 euros, which represents a significant financial boost for the upkeep and enhancement of the festival itself.
A total of 11 positions went unallocated, while Oafar has retained an additional 31 for commercial brands that sponsor the carnival, contingent upon their prior payment of the respective costs.
The kiosks will be operational for public access from February 28 to March 9, aligning with the scheduled events of the carnival festivities.
