A 30-year-old driver has tragically passed away following an incident on the road leading to the port in the municipality of Santiago del Teide (Tenerife), as stated by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The incident took place at 8:12 pm on Monday, and personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched to the scene, where they confirmed that the individual had sustained a head injury and was in cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, despite the cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts made, there was nothing that could be done to save him, and his death was declared.
Local Police officers and the Civil Guard also arrived at the scene to conduct the necessary investigations.
