A man has been detained in the municipality of La Laguna in Tenerife as the suspected assailant in a stabbing incident that resulted in another man’s death on Monday, according to sources from the national police.
The victim sustained a stab wound to the neck while in a street in La Laguna, with the incident occurring around 8:00 p.m. on San Pedro Street, as reported by sources from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre 112 of the Canary Islands Government.
Emergency personnel from the Canarian Emergency Department (SUC) arrived at the scene and found that the individual was in cardiac arrest. They attempted both basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques, but unfortunately, these efforts were unsuccessful, and the man’s death was confirmed.
According to the National Police, officers responded promptly following alerts from local residents and apprehended the suspected attacker shortly after the incident, who had barricaded himself inside an abandoned property.
