The PSOE and PP have condemned the local government of San Miguel de Abona (Canary Coalition) for its “alarming lack of management” and “absence of intent and planning” concerning the Local Police’s human resources. Both political parties acknowledge the criticism from the Independent Trade Union Centre and Civil Servants (CSIF) that labels the “inaction” of councillor Antonio Manuel Rodríguez as a crucial factor leading to “an extreme situation that jeopardises the safety of residents and the wellbeing of municipal staff.”
