At the conclusion of the fourth and final quarter of 2024, unemployment has declined across all 31 municipalities of Tenerife. This positive trend is aided by the support from the Island Council, which has allocated €10 million to promote job creation within the municipalities. The Registered Active Population Statistics (EPA) for the period spanning September to December of the previous year indicates a notable decrease in unemployment figures. Los Realejos, El Sauzal, and Güímar have seen the most significant reductions, with declines exceeding three percentage points over two years. Conversely, areas such as La Victoria de Acentejo, Los Silos, and Icod de los Vinos exhibit the highest unemployment rates. The list is led by Los Realejos (-3.6), El Sauzal (-3.2), and Güímar (-3.1), showcasing the most substantial improvements since the final quarter of 2022.
