The Tagoror of the Health-La Salle area, led by Councillor Zaida González, convened for a new meeting, the first of the year, during which significant community concerns were addressed to enhance the quality of life and safety in the neighbourhood. Among the key proposals discussed was the increase in police presence at the basketball court of Las Indias Park, as well as around the CEIP I took Cano during student arrivals and departures.

Representatives from various political factions within the Tagoror highlighted the significance of these measures to enhance both safety and quality of life within the area. The Councillor stated that the requests reflect the anxieties of the community members and underscored the Tagoror’s commitment to finding solutions. In this context, she reminded attendees that requests made in previous meetings are already being implemented, such as the refurbishment and cleaning of the Plaza de los Cantos Canarios, alongside upcoming improvements to El Quijote Park.

González clarified that the proposal for a 24-hour study room, particularly during exam periods, would be forwarded to the City Council. There was a unanimous agreement to establish this study area in the Mascareño house. Regarding the installation of defibrillators in football fields, the Councillor and District Coordinator, Tamara del Pino, explained that these will be installed by the sports service in the football fields that currently lack them.
