SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE Jan. 22 (EUROPA PRESS) – The president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, underscored this Wednesday the leadership of Tenerife following the “unprecedented figures” over more than twenty years, reflecting the progression of the Business Confidence Indicator for Tenerife, which gathers the perspectives of the Canarian business community regarding the overall state of business in the previous quarter and their anticipations for the forthcoming quarter.
“Tenerife enters the first quarter of 2025 at the forefront of the increase in business confidence compared to the last quarter of 2024, with a figure of 2.6%, outpacing any other island,” the island’s president emphasised during a press conference about council agreements. She reviewed the progress made since 2023, the year in which the island is “six points ahead” in this statistical measure.
Concerning the current state of the business sector in Tenerife throughout the last quarter, Dávila added, “21.5% of the business community believes it has improved compared to those who think otherwise,” a “positive” balance that is also linked to future expectations, which reach 8.4 percentage points, highlighting the “optimism” prevalent among businesses on the island.
“These figures instil confidence in us to keep striving to ensure Tenerife’s progress, and to trust that the efforts made by the Cabildo are yielding results,” Rosa Dávila remarked.
