Tenerife’s Cabildo Invests 1.5 Million to Tackle Wastewater Issues in Buenavista

The Cabildo of Tenerife has announced an allocation of 1.5 million euros to address the issues related to wastewater discharges and to regularise the municipal purification system in the Tenerife municipality of Buenavista.

The president of the island, Rosa Dávila, states that 1.4 million euros will be used to regularise the municipal wastewater purification and discharge system, as well as to refurbish connections and essential components of its sanitation networks.

An additional amount of approximately 129,000 euros is being allocated to minimise water losses within the distribution network.

The mayor of Buenavista, Eva García, has conveyed her appreciation, as per the Cabildo, stating “this significant investment will enable us to resolve a longstanding water issue through the municipal treatment plant,” and emphasized the importance of minimising water losses “from the distribution network.”
