One of the primary objectives of the president of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, since taking office has been the diversification of the Island’s economy. This includes the promotion of training and employment across various sectors, ranging from primary industries to services, and encompassing science and technology as well. In the latter domain, the institution has a powerful instrument at its disposal, the Innovation Master Plan, which outlines the strategy for the Island’s research, development and innovation (R&D&I) policies. These strategies are aimed at fostering economic growth and establishing the Island as a prominent centre.
The Tenerife Science and Technology Park (PCTT) is crucial to this initiative, featuring four headquarters: Las Mantecas, Innovaparq ULL, Innovaparq Dársena and Cuevas Blancas. This setup is intended to cultivate employment within the sector by attracting companies and generating 110 new job opportunities in 2024.
