The American artist Rob Mazurek has maintained a longstanding bond with Tenerife. As a result, this pivotal figure of the Chicago avant-garde has recorded his latest album, Nestor’s nest, in an exceptionally idyllic setting on the island, releasing it through the local Keroxen label. Nevertheless, this album is far from conventional; the New Jersey musician, who boasts over fifty projects to his name, reveals his most innovative and captivating self through the use of modular synths, paraphonic synths, and analogue-digital synthesizers, alongside instruments such as trumpets, bells, and flutes.
