The La Rosa Street, a key thoroughfare in the El Toscal neighbourhood of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, is showing significant progress following the conclusion of an essential rehabilitation phase. The roadway, which spans from El Saludo Street to Señor de las Tribulaciones, is now accessible to vehicular traffic up to Pasaje Primero de Ravina, as stated by the City Council in December 2024.
After a span of 15 months of construction, the finished segment has markedly altered the urban landscape. The introduction of new underground waste containers at the start of La Rosa enhances waste management processes, while the reinstatement of 10 parking spaces on San Isidro Street boosts mobility and access within the area.
The redevelopment of this main route is part of a broader initiative aimed at rejuvenating El Toscal, transforming it into a more contemporary, accessible, and sustainable district. The modifications undertaken in this section are designed to encourage local trade and elevate the quality of life for residents and shopkeepers alike.
Consequently, this thoroughfare is now more spacious and secure, featuring updated signage and an environment that supports nearby businesses.
