Tragedy struck the roads of the Canary Islands for the second consecutive day: a motorist lost their life after their vehicle overturned in Gran Canaria, close to Santa Lucía de Tirajana; a cyclist required helicopter evacuation following a collision with an automobile in Tejeda, and a pedestrian was struck in La Palma. This grim tally compounds the events of Sunday, during which one motorcyclist perished and four others sustained injuries, along with several car drivers. In total, the Islands experienced two fatalities and approximately a dozen injuries due to accidents within just 24 hours.
