TENERIFE Jan. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –
An 80-year-old gentleman passed away this Monday after being rescued from the sea experiencing cardiorespiratory failure on the beach of El Beril, situated in the Adeje municipality of Tenerife, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government.
At 5:06 p.m., emergency services received a call notifying them that lifeguards had retrieved a swimmer in cardiorespiratory failure from the water and were undertaking resuscitation efforts. Promptly, 112 activated the necessary emergency resources.
A Primary Care physician arrived at the incident scene in the ambulance that had been dispatched and continued to perform advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques alongside SUC personnel. Unfortunately, these efforts were unsuccessful, and the individual was confirmed deceased.
Police officers worked alongside emergency responders. The National Police initiated official proceedings, with assistance from the Adeje Local Police.
