La Orotava Collision Leaves Two Motorcyclists with Critical Injuries

Two motorcyclists sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision at approximately 11:00 a.m. this Sunday on the TF-21 road, close to Portillo and within the boundaries of La Orotava (Tenerife).

As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (Cecoes) 112, an individual present at the accident site who identified himself as a nurse confirmed that one of the men was in cardiorespiratory arrest and promptly initiated lifesaving procedures, implementing basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Meanwhile, the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) continued their assistance upon arriving, attending to the motorcyclists, both of whom exhibited severe multiple traumas. One was transported to the Canary Islands University Hospital, while the other was taken to the Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria University Hospital, where they were admitted in critical condition.

Finally, CECOPIN personnel, along with the National Parks and the Red Cross ERIE team, supported the resources that were dispatched, while the Civil Guard managed procedures and regulated traffic in the vicinity.
