PSOE Puerto de la Cruz Responds: Cabildo’s Past Investments in the City

The socialist faction within the Puerto de la Cruz City Council has issued a response to the mayor. They criticise the inconsistent criteria regarding the support from the Cabildo de Tenerife for the Tourist City. “It is an affront to the intelligence of the residents of Puerto that this unnatural administration disregards the over 50 million Euros invested by the Cabildo over the past five years in substantial infrastructure projects, such as the reconstruction of the Gran Hotel Taoro, the Aquatic Sports Centre, as well as enhancements to the regional treatment facility,” asserted the leader of the PSOE in Puerto, Marco González. Furthermore, the socialists condemned the remarks made by the local councillor, Leopoldo Afonso, describing them as “yet another farcical episode from the municipal government and the current mayor.”
