€1 Million Allocated for Restoration of Tenerife’s Heritage Sites and Religious Artifacts

One million euros earmarked for the restoration of nine images, altarpieces, and historical structures belonging to the church’s heritage in Tenerife. This is the concrete outcome of an agreement between the Chapter and the Bishopric. The accord allocates over 200,000 euros in grants for the restoration of seven assets of significant cultural importance. Additionally, a financial contribution has been made to the Diocese to support the refurbishment of the Dolores Chapel in Icod de los Vinos, along with the Van Damme House in La Laguna, amounting to 879,019 euros. This project is part of the Insular Historical Heritage Programme 2023-2027.
