On the morning of yesterday, the regional adviser for Ecological Transition, Mariano Hernández Zapata, presented to the Tenerife Council the concluded Master Plan for Use and Management (PRUG) of Teide National Park, prepared by his department and awaiting the convening of the Board of Trustees, which falls under the remit of the local administration. By midday, the island corporation reacted by associating the document’s progress with the transfer of management of the safeguarded natural area from the regional government, which is slated for January but has yet to be finalised.
