In the morning, the regional adviser for Ecological Transition, Mariano Hernández Zapata, presented the completion of the Master Plan for Use and Management (PRUG) of Teide National Park to the Tenerife Council. This plan has been finalised by his department and is now awaiting the Board of Trustees’ meeting, which is under the aegis of the local administration. By midday, the island corporation clarified that the progression of this document is contingent upon the transfer of management for the protected natural area from the regional government, which is anticipated to occur this January, yet remains unfinalised.
