SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE Jan. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Officers from the National Police have dismantled an operational drug dealing location in the Taco area, in La Laguna, as part of an anti-drug initiative that ended with the apprehension of five individuals linked to a family group.

The inquiry was initiated following numerous local complaints that indicated a family group as the alleged perpetrators of drug sales from three distinct properties.

Consequently, after thorough investigations conducted by the officers, a police document was compiled which included adequate incriminating evidence to seek the necessary judicial authorization.

This inquiry unveiled that it was a family group functioning in a systematic manner, consistently altering the roles of its members to complicate the work of law enforcement.

The individuals under investigation were involved in the sale of cocaine, hashish and crack, primarily catering to young individuals under 25 years old, as well as those struggling with addiction, according to a statement from the National Police.

During the operation, five members of the family group were arrested, and authorities seized 58.25 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of crack, 773.51 grams of hashish, €1,170 in cash, a knife, and a police-style rubber baton, along with various distribution and packaging tools.

The detainees, who had prior criminal records, have been submitted to the judicial authority on suspicion of drug trafficking.
