Celebrating 70 Years of Unity: The Realejo Alto and Bajo Merger

On 6th January 1955, 70 years ago today, the Official State Gazette released a decree that signified a pivotal change in the history of one of the most significant townships in the northern part of Tenerife: “The merger is unanimously agreed upon regarding the municipalities of Realejo Alto and Realejo Bajo, situated in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, thus forming a single municipality named Los Realejos.
