The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, via the Autonomous Festival Organisation, has finalised the deadline for submitting entries to participate in the contests for electing the adult, children, and senior queens of Carnival 2025.
In total, there will be 34 contenders across the various categories, with the galas presented by Daniel Pages and Jep Meléndez.
The City Council has noted that this year the overall number of participants has risen by two compared to the previous edition.
Javier Caraballero, the Festival Councillor, expressed that preparations for the galas have been underway for several months “to ensure that all candidates can shine once more and win the hearts of carnival enthusiasts.” He extended his gratitude to “the sponsors and designers for their hard work that brings each of the creations to life, ensuring a successful event for our festival.”
Gala Calendar
The inauguration of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2025 will take place on 31st January, where all the contestants will discover their order of participation in the various galas.
The Children’s Queen Election Gala is scheduled for Sunday, 16th February at 6:00 p.m., featuring a total of 13 young girls. This year mirrors the same number of participants as was seen in 2024.
The Senior Queen Election Gala is set to occur on Wednesday, 19th February, at 5:30 p.m., with 10 applicants – two more than the previous year.
Finally, the Grand Gala Election of the Adult Queen of Carnival 2025, to be held on Wednesday, 26th February at the Fairgrounds, will feature 11 candidates.
