This Sunday, to facilitate the festivities planned for the reception and subsequent procession of the Three Wise Men from the East, there will be parking restrictions and partial road closures enacted for this traditional occasion. The royal party will commence its journey from Belgium Avenue at 7:00 p.m. following the conclusion of the performance at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium.
The local authority has announced that a police presence consisting of approximately 70 officers, alongside health care and Civil Protection staff, will oversee both the security of the procession and the enforcement of the necessary traffic modifications for the successful conduct of this festive celebration. Together with the personnel from the Autonomous Organisation for Festivals and Recreational Activities (OAFAR), the self-protection plan and preventive measures have been coordinated to ensure everything proceeds smoothly. A specific operation for receiving the Three Wise Men will take place prior to the parade, according to the City Council.
Similar to previous years, the popular Parade will follow a route from the previously mentioned Belgium Avenue to Plaza de la República Dominicana, Avenida de La Asunción, Ramón y Cajal streets, Galcerán, Plaza Weyler, Méndez Núñez, Pilar, Villalba Hervás, La Marina and La Candelaria square.
Regarding mobility, it is advisable to utilise public transport to attend the events occurring in Tenerife’s capital on this day, including taxi, bus, or tram services, which have also enhanced services and increased frequency to accommodate the expected influx of thousands of visitors to Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Sunday.

Parking Restrictions
The initial parking restrictions will take effect from 00:00 on Sunday, impacting Madrid Avenue, between Unamuno Street and Belgium Avenue; Robayna Street; Ramón y Cajal on both sides, from Castro Street to Benavides; Duggi and Fernando Barajas Prat street. From 12:00, this restriction will extend to Heliodoro Rodríguez López Street and a section of Belgium Avenue, from Luis de la Cruz Street to the Dominican Republic.
At 1:00 p.m., the parking ban will commence on Ramón y Cajal, from Benavides to Alfaro Street. The final section of the parking ban will begin at 4:00 p.m., affecting La Marina Street, Villalba Hervás, and Marítima Avenue, between Francisco La Roche Avenue and Plaza de España.
It is important to note that once these restrictions are in place, the removal of vehicles still parked in these areas will be necessary, so the Local Police advises adherence to the timing of the temporary signage already installed across the city for this occasion.
Traffic Closures
Road closures will start at 3:00 p.m. on part of Belgium Avenue for float placement that will be part of the parade. Additionally, from 3:00 p.m., San Sebastián Avenue and Heliodoro Rodríguez López Street are expected to be closed due to the anticipated large attendance at the ceremony to welcome the Three Wise Men at the capital’s stadium. The Local Police will begin closing off traffic, around 4:30 p.m., from Asuncionistas Avenue to Plaza de La Paz. As the parade commencement time approaches, streets impacted by the procession and adjacent roads will progressively be closed.
Special Recommendations
The foremost priority of the security, traffic, and emergency services operating tomorrow will be the safety of the true stars of the day: the children present on the streets of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Consequently, accompanying adults are reminded to keep their children in safe locations during the procession and to avoid encroaching on the path of vehicles and floats of the parade.
It is crucial to remember that should a child go missing during the event, parents, guardians, relatives, or companions should encourage the young ones to approach security personnel, such as police officers or Civil Protection volunteers. In any circumstance, the entire setup is alert for any unforeseen situations that may arise, and assistance can always be reached through the contact numbers 092 or 112.
As in previous years, information concerning traffic restrictions, road reopenings after the royal delegation, and any potential incidents will be communicated via the X profiles of @PoliciaLocalSC and @CECOPALSC.
