If you’re visiting the Island of Tenerife, then you’ve likely got your days covered… enjoying the sunshine by the pool – maybe with a drink (and a book) in hand. Perfection. But what do you do when the sun goes down? Well, the good news is that Tenerife is every bit as good during the day as it is by night!

Start the Evening With Cocktails at Sunset

In my opinion, there’s no better way to start off your summer nights in Tenerife than sipping a cocktail as you watch the sun melt into the distant horizon – and this is Tenerife, so there are plenty of places to do so. You can head over to one of the many beachfront bars – like Papagayo Beach Club if you’re staying in Playa de las Américas or El Mirador if you’re close to Costa Adeje. These promise the perfect combination of ocean views and gorgeous drinks. You can go for a classic mojito, but this is the perfect time to try out a local speciality like a Barraquito – a coffee liqueur drink that you’ll only find in the Canary Islands.

Gourmet Eateries

But you’ll need to line your stomach for all those cocktails. Tenerife has some seriously amazing restaurants for all tastes and budgets. If you want a taste of luxury, then you can try and book a table at one of the Michelin-starred restaurants – like MB or Kazan. You’ll be able to test out all the best that the Canaries have to offer… fresh seafood, local produce and their own, unique culinary techniques.

If you prefer a more casual experience, then there’s Guachinche— where you can try out some authentic local dishes like papas arrugadas with mojo sauce or fresh grilled fish. These give you the perfect taste of Tenerife.

A Night of Entertainment

Once you’ve had your fill of food – you can dance it off again. Or simply sit back and take in the music. No matter where you are, you’ll find live music performances – from Jazz to Rock, whatever your flavour. You can even head to hot spots like Hard Rock Café Tenerife and Vivo in Los Cristianos.

If you want a taste of their traditional music and culture then you could check out a traditional Canarian folklore show or maybe a modern flamenco performance.

Try Your Luck at the Casino

No perfect night out in Tenerife could ever be complete without checking out one of its many casinos. If you’ve practised your Roulette skills at some of the new casino sites for UK players, then this is the perfect way to test it out for real. Tenerife has some incredible casinos… with Casino Playa de las Américas being the very best of them all. Right in the very heart of the main nightlife district, you’ll get to try out a mix of classic table games – such as blackjack, poker, and roulette, as well as plenty of slots, including jackpots!

If you want to take a break from the games, then simply head to one of the casino’s various bars and enjoy a few more cocktails.

Dance the Night Away

When you’ve done with the casino floor, it’s time to hit the dance floor. Tenerife’s clubs are the stuff of legends – and they attract clubbers and DJs from all over the world. There are venues like Tramps and Monkey Beach Club in Playa de las Américas that stay open till all hours of the morning… so you can dance until that sun comes up again.

A Late Night (Early Morning) Snack

As you start heading back to your hotel, the dancing may well have made you a bit hungry again. Well, the good news is that Tenerife has street food vendors and eateries that are open 24 hours… and you’ll find whatever you want – from gourmet burgers to churros con chocolate. You won’t be going to bed on an empty stomach!

So, there you have it, the perfect night out in Tenerife. From cocktails and food to casino floors and dance floors! Just make sure you have a sunbed at the ready so you can sleep it all off the next day!
