The Local Police of Arona have apprehended a 19-year-old individual for an alleged act of vandalism following a report from a resident who observed from their home how four individuals set fire to several bins and fled towards the outskirts of Cabo Blanco Institute. After inspecting the scene, officers located and detained the individual, who admitted to being solely responsible for the incident, attributing his actions to deep depression.

This prompt and effective response is a result of the service enhancement that has been implemented in this midlands area due to the recent social distress caused by this incident.

In a separate case, Arona police officials, responding to a witness’s report, began searching for a 20-year-old man for an alleged act of vandalism in Playa de las Américas. In the early hours of the morning, the witness observed him causing damage to a vehicle parked on the public road. Once the vehicle owner was located, she stated that she recognised the offender and informed the officers of his whereabouts in a nearby recreational area. The agents commenced their search and indeed found him close to where the damage had occurred, with the suspect acknowledging his culpability, explaining that his actions stemmed from anger due to the victim’s rudeness.

The Local Police also investigated a minor under the age of 17 in Guaza during the early morning for an alleged series of offences, including property crimes, the unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and breaches of Road Safety regulations, as she had never acquired a driving permit or licence.

The officers observed her behaving suspiciously while riding a motorcycle that is known for its ease of theft, prompting them to stop her for identification and verification. In response, she fled quickly along the TF-1 highway towards Playa de las Américas, ultimately losing control and crashing during a reckless manoeuvre.

Consequently, she sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to El Mojón Hospital. The incident has been reported to her father and the Juvenile Prosecutor. Likewise, the owner of the motorcycle, who had previously filed a complaint, was located and informed.

Arona Local Police officials have also arrested a 43-year-old man in Las Galletas for an alleged incident of domestic violence, prompted by a call to CECOES 112, which had been alerted by the Health Centre of Arona. Medical personnel were treating a patient who had reportedly been a victim of domestic violence. Officers confirmed these details upon arrival, finding that she had a wound requiring several stitches, allegedly inflicted by her partner. As a result, the arrest was conducted outside the shared residence of the couple.

Additionally, the Local Police apprehended a 44-year-old man in Los Cristianos for an alleged act of domestic violence following reports from several bystanders who witnessed the incident in broad daylight and noted that he hurriedly left the scene. Using the provided physical description, officers searched the vicinity and successfully located and detained the perpetrator after a swift intervention.
