Santa Cruz, La Laguna, Adeje, Arona, Granadilla, Puerto de la Cruz, Tacoronte and Santa Úrsula will be the main locations for the free festivities in Tenerife this New Year’s Eve, to bid farewell to 2024 and usher in 2025. None of these celebrations will be televised, but all promise enjoyment and excellent music. The two local channels broadcasting in the Canary Islands have selected two towns on the island of Gran Canaria: Gáldar by Televisión Canaria and Arucas by Televisión Española.
This New Year’s Eve features significant changes in two key venues: La Laguna will relocate from the vicinity of the church of La Concepción, which is currently under renovation, to the Plaza del Cristo, while Puerto de la Cruz will shift from the Plaza del Charco to the Customs House, located on the fishing dock. These are the main public celebrations.
