A 51-year-old individual has sustained serious injuries after the automobile he was operating veered off the road at the entrance roundabout to the Atalaya area in Adeje (Tenerife), as reported by 1-1-2 sources.
The collision took place shortly after 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 31 December.
Firefighters from Tenerife had to extricate the driver, who was trapped inside the wreckage of the vehicle.
Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service administered treatment and subsequently transported him by ambulance to La Candelaria Hospital, with an initial assessment indicating severe chest trauma.
The Civil Guard conducted the required investigation, while the Local Police assisted along with other emergency services.
