The 18,000 tickets available for the welcoming event of the Three Wise Men at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium were sold out by 1:00 p.m. today, Friday the 27th, which marked the initial day of ticket distribution organised by the Autonomous Festival Organisation and Recreational Activities (Oafar) of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council. Priced at two euros, the tickets were issued at the offices of the five municipal districts and the Quico Cabrera Sports Pavilion. This year, in a new development, payments had to be made exclusively via POS (dataphone), and cash payments were not accepted.
The mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, expressed delight at the enthusiasm this event continues to generate among families. “We are thrilled by the anticipation this occasion creates each year, with 18,000 tickets made available, adhering to the security plan for the event, all of which are sold out within a few hours.”
Javier Caraballero, the Councillor for Festivals, expressed satisfaction with this year’s sales pace, stating, “This again illustrates the significance of this event for families, as we successfully sold out all tickets in under four hours without any incidents.”
The welcoming event for the Three Wise Men is scheduled for Sunday, January 5, starting at 5:00 p.m., and is expected to attract nearly a thousand children. Following the event, the traditional Parade will commence along its usual route through the streets of Santa Cruz.
Lastly, as in previous editions, the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charitable organisations associated with children.
