The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, in collaboration with the Development Society, the Port Authority, and the business organisation Zona Centro de Santa Cruz, will open a temporary free car park of 3,700 square metres on the port esplanade from Saturday, December 28, until January 19.
In a recent statement, the Mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, elaborated that “the aim is to facilitate parking for both residents and visitors during the Christmas and sales period.”
He further noted that “this area will be accessible 24 hours a day, making it easier for those visiting Santa Cruz to shop as well as for those who come to experience our restaurant offerings and the activities available during this season.”
Carmen Pérez, the CEO of the Santa Cruz Development Society, mentioned that “from 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, the Audiotorium area parking lot will be open, ensuring parking is convenient during the initial days of the sales campaign.”
Moreover, Pérez clarified that “this car park is exclusively for passenger vehicles; buses, personal mobility devices such as scooters, and caravans are not permitted in this area.” She also extended her gratitude to the Port Authority for their support in establishing this parking facility and acknowledged the cooperation from the Santa Cruz Central Zone business association.
