The Santa Cruz City Council, in partnership with the Tenerife Central Basketball Club, is hosting a complimentary Christmas camp from today until December 30. This event, occurring in the sports hall of the La Salud neighbourhood, is designed for children aged 5 to 15 and is provided at no cost.
To join in, it is necessary to complete a pre-registration as there are limited spaces available. Registrations can be made via email at [email protected] or by calling 645997786.
The mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez (CC), applauds this initiative as it not only encourages youth engagement in sports but also offers families activities that facilitate balance during the school holiday period. “I express my gratitude to CB Tenerife Central for spearheading this initiative, allowing children to enjoy sports in a playful manner with guidance from professionals,” he stated.
The camp operates from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with an included stay half an hour before and after the start and conclusion of each day. Registration provides a mid-morning snack, a camp t-shirt, and an attendance certificate. The programme focuses on both foundational skills and technical development.
